Job Overview
We are seeking a few skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operators to join our team at one of the area's premier manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various machines, ensuring high-quality production standards, and maintaining a safe work environment.


  The Slitter Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining slitting machines that convert large rolls of material (such as paper, plastic, foil, or metal) into narrower rolls according to customer or production specifications. The operator ensures quality, accuracy, and efficiency in the slitting process while maintaining a safe work environment.  


Shifts:

  • 2nd Shift - 2:55 PM - 10:55 PM

Pay: $16.50 per hour


Duties Machine Operator

  • Operate and monitor machinery including milling machines, lathes, and stamping presses to fabricate and assemble components according to specifications.
  • Utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers to ensure accuracy in production processes.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
Slitter Operator
  • Set up and operate a slitting machine according to work orders and specifications.

  • Monitor machine operation during production to ensure quality and efficiency.

  • Perform quality checks on finished rolls, including width, edge quality, and material integrity.

  • Load and unload materials manually or using hoists/forklifts as required.

  • Adjust machine settings to accommodate different materials and dimensions.

  • Label, package, and prepare finished rolls for shipping or further processing.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues.


Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with various machining processes including milling, turning, stamping, and assembly techniques.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools and measuring devices such as micrometers.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.


Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday; 2:55pm-10:55pm

  • 8 hour shift
  • Evening shift
  • Overtime
  • Weekends as needed
